TRI – Super Science Saturday

The Teacher Retention Initiative sponsored a Super Science Saturday at the San Diego High Educational Complex and invited Middle School students to come and participate in labs that High School students do, to meet and talk with High School students at the complex, and to have fun with science. Students from the IB Biology HL class at the School of International Studies put on a Botany Lab in the IS Garden. The IB Biology HL students taught their Middle School group how to take a leaf rubbing, record observable data, and then use their data to create a dichotomous key for plant identification.
