Jim was always the other Mac guy on our campus.  I’ll never forget talking with him about the latest Mac OS, new software, or troubleshooting.  Jim was a great guy and I’ll miss him.

"Mr. Rudolph was an exceptional person. Not to mention teacher. Math was never my best subject, yet it seemed so simple with one of his fantastic explanations. Mr. Rudolph was a teacher I would have come to even during college for math tutoring. He was a person who was very approachable and who really showed special interest in every single one of his students. He didn’t just answer your questions and get on with his work, he actually paid attention to your needs. I remember one specific phrase he used to tell me and those in class. Since my freshman year he would say, "My goal is to see you all graduate". He would say it so much, I just completely expected to see his face at graduation this year. This is my senior year and it would have been my fourth year with him as a teacher. I just wish he would have reached that goal. Mr.Rudolph, my profound respects and all hats off to you. We loved and still love you very much. You will never be forgotten. You left this world, but you never left our hearts."

I had Mr. Rudolph for two years and I always remember being excited to go to his class, not only because Mr. Rudolph had an amazing sense of humour, but because he put everything into perspective. He was able to relate almost every mathematical lesson or equation to business, science, astrophysics, etc; he was not only able to help students understand the theories they were learning but tied them into real world uses which made what I learned so much more meaningful. He also believed that every single one of his students could be successful and was supportive of us in a multitude of different ways. I will remember Mr. Rudolph as the teacher who provided me with the key to comprehension through the integration of humour and putting things in perspective.
Thank You Mr. Rudolph.

I express my deepest condolences to the family and I know that we will never forget Mr. Rudolph.

I remember him being the only teacher who understood me. When I didn't do homework, he didn't become upset, he simply stated, "Some people just don't need to get down to the details, you are the type of learner who gets the whole picture." That always stuck with me because he took it a step futher to understand me instead of becoming angry.  Mr. Rudolph was a man of peace, humor and intelligence.

Mr. Rudolph was one of the funniest most sarcastic, yet serious teacher I have ever had. He can throw in seriousness and sarcasm and still make it funny. He was a great man and will not be forgotten. Even though I have always had trouble in math, Mr. Rudolph never singled me out for it. One thing I can always remember about him was how two guys and my self would always watch him make him self peanut butter and jelly sandwiches towards the end of our period, and it made us so hungry. We would offer him money but he would never want to share his pb and j. We did not take it to heart we found it hilarious. He would sort of tease us about it as a matter of fact. Mr. Rudolph will always be loved by us students. He is some one that can not be forgotten. As much as I was looking forward to having him as a teacher again this year, I only pray that he is off to a better place and he is done with suffering.

Always,

I knew this time was coming sooner or later but you wouldn't expect it to be so soon. As we all know Mr. Rudolph was a wonderful person and an incredible, extraordinary teacher. With him as my math teacher, math made sense. I learned how to love it again when other teachers had squashed my love for it. There will never be another teacher like him. It's sad that bad things happen to good people, but unfortunately that's life. I know that Mr. Rudolph would be happy to know that so many of his students, coworkers, and friends care deeply about him, but most of all he would want us to be happy. He would want us to set out and do the things in life he knew we have the potential to do. So although this is a really heartbreaking time right now, smile. Smile because you know Mr. Rudoplh died peacefully, and is now in a better place. We'll Miss you Mr. Rudolph.

Love always,

Mr. Rudolph was my favorite teacher at SDHS. He always challenged peoples thought processes and ideas, which made his class definitely the best, and most memorable thing about that school. I loved the way he taught, and I’m gonna miss him as a friend and a teacher

Mr. Rudolph was my Geometry teacher for my freshman year, then my precalculus teacher for partially my junior year. I was horrible at math, yet he was always optimistic enough to tell me i could do it. He was not only my teacher, but a friend and a motivator. It makes me sad knowing that he passed without being here to see me, along with his other students graduate. But it also brings me a great deal of comfort knowing that the knowledge he has left us with will always be a part of us . " No man is ever gone unless he is forgotten"
