Welcome to the School of International Studies at the San Diego High Educational Complex!

Text Box:

We are proud of our International Baccalaureate program.

IS is one of the six small schools in the Complex, which is located at 1405 Park Blvd at the edge of downtown San Diego.  Our focus is internationalism, and we explore that in all courses of learning.  We also offer International Baccalaureate classes along with the opportunity to attempt the IB diploma.  Writing is very important to IS and we encourage writing in every aspect of the school.  We are proud to be a writing magnet and look forward to creating a new history at our school.  We occupy the 800 building and the upper bungalows on the San Diego High Complex campus.

IB Biology Botany Lab

Our IB Biology HL class spent 4 hours on Veteran’s Day in Balboa Park studying plants.  Our students gathered data on plant anatomy and adaptations in Desert Garden and Palm Canyon.  They will be using their data to compare adaptations and relate those to taxonomy.
