Congratulations Ms. Enochs
On Sunday 5/4, Ms. Enochs gave birth
to her son Makoto Enochs. Congratulations to Ms. Enochs, her husband, and new son.

Living Legacies of our WWII Heroes
14 World War II veterans, alumni of San Diego High School, shared their stories with students from Ms. James’
Honors English classes on 4/23.
Students learned not only about history but also about personal
courage and honor.

Water Conservation Garden
The new Kiosk in the IS Water Conservation Garden has been
installed. Thank you to the Hacketts for all of their hard work and dedication to
making the IS Garden a place of beauty and tranquility.

IB Art Show
Eight of our IB Art Students
presented their work in Balboa Park on 4/25/08. They presented their work to an IB
Examiner for Art, and then the show was open to the public. Congratulations to Bryce Altona, Adriana Blair, Selam Kidane, Shani Langford,
Jasmine Mason, Maggie McFadden, Miguel Nava-Tapia, Serge Rosiles-Palencia and their instructor Ms. Korda.

Americas Best
High Schools 2008
San Diego High
– School of International
Studies was selected by U.S. News and World
Report as one of the Best High Schools in America. Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals were
awarded based on preparing students for college. Gold and Silver Medals were awarded based
on AP exam results (they did not count IB exams), and since we offer IB
exams, we earned the highest medal possible for our school.
